18th Century Body Worlds

I recently had a chance to browse through a book called the Encyclopaedia Anatomic, which was very cool and I'd strongly recommend it to anyone who could stomach and/or enjoyed the Body Worlds exhibit. This site has the most plates [from the book] available to gawk at, so I thought I'd share it.

MASTERS of the MINI COMIC

God bless the internet!
I own only a few of these precious He-Man mini comics, but here you will find ALL of them. Not unlike the original cartoon, these mini comics are essentially just a series of shrewd promotional pieces for the different action figures featured in the story... where was I going with this?
Oh right, they're great.
Superbly schlocky silver-age stuff!

IT'S BEEN DONE

This guy features a lot of what I guess could be called the pool of competition. Maybe I'm mixing metaphors, but there are a lot of great examples of other people's mini comics. HERE
An excellent source for anatomy reference, both relevant to my topic-collection and a fight sequence I've worked into the current mini comic roughs. [The comic] features a very acrobatic, flexible character, and these photos with really help with the design of those pages.

Careful attention will go into not duplicating anything exactly or infringing whatever.

THE MINI BOSSES

This breakdown of mini comics and their practical uses [to modern the comic student] played an enormous role in the radical new approach I'm applying to my Individual Project. This also links to templates for the 16 page mini I'll be working with, if I'm not mistaken.

CON!

All festivities aside, this Convergence will likely be the first solid venue / opportunity for me to start moving my mini comic around. That might involve pressing the flesh and moving paper somewhat manually, but here's a link to the art show I'll also likely be entering.

WEEKLY WEB RESOURCE

http://www.fineart.sk/
This site is one of the most prime resources for old anatomy instruction book scans, and tasteful nude photography. Enjoy!
